Field Experiments in Pohang Canal (2021)

MORIN Lab conducted a series of field experiments and demonstrations in Pohang Canal in collaboration with Avikus, an HD Hyundai venture specializing in autonomous navigation technology. A conventional cruise boat was retrofitted as an autonomous vessel and successfully completed the canal cruise route without human intervention. The Pohang Canal Dataset was created from these field experiments and has been made publicly available for research and benchmarking.
