Master student Jisung Park was selected as one of five Outstanding Student Paper & Presentation Award winners of the 2014 spring conference of The Korean Society of Ocean Engineering held in Busan, Republic of Korea

Jisung's work entitled "A preliminary study on autonomous object detection and retrieval in underwater environment" showed an object recovery task performed by underwater robot. A computer vision technics was only used for navigation and object recognition except for any navigation sensors.
